REVISED - Challenge 15: The Second Glance

REVISED - Challenge 15: The Second Glance

Casefile 015

Mrs. OSINT received a short encrypted message through a disposable inbox:

“Meet me where the colors don’t match. Midday.”

Attached was one image, a small pastel-colored building framed by palm trees.
No coordinates, no caption, just the photo.

Before she decides whether to follow the lead, Mrs. OSINT needs to verify where this building actually stands and whether the photo can be trusted.

Twenty-four hours after the original message, another alert hit Mrs. OSINT’s temporary inbox.
Same sender. Same encryption pattern.
The subject line read simply:

Did you enjoy chasing ghosts?”

Attached was a new image.
The same building, but from a different angle. More detail. More context. Whoever she is, she’s watching. The first image wasn’t a mistake. It was bait.

Mission Objectives

  1. Location – Provide the exact coordinates, city, and country where the building is located.
  2. Building Name – What is the official name of this building?
  3. Building Type – Is it residential, historic, religious, or something else?
  4. Current Color – What is the building’s color today? (Provide evidence)
  5. Timeline – Has the building’s color or exterior changed over time? If yes, when?
  6. Key Clues – List two visible clues that helped you identify the location (architecture, surroundings, vegetation, lighting, etc.).
  7. Process Summary – Briefly explain how you verified your findings. Which tools or steps did you use?

Bonus Question 🪵 – Nearby, there’s a special carved tree often mentioned in connection with this location.

  1. What do locals call it, or what is carved into it?
